Our Process:

Step 1

Raw Material Sourcing

A premium cannabis oil starts with the ingredients. All raw material that is extracted by Organa Labs for us in Bakked branded products is sourced from high-quality, locally grown cannabis (bud or trim) with regulatory compliance in mind.

Step 2

Supercritical C02 Extraction

We choose supercritical CO2 extraction to create all of our cannabis oils because of its ability to separate cannabinoids, terpenes, and other non-polar components from the plant material. What’s left behind is a pure cannabis oil, free of all harmful residual solvents.

Step 3

Winterization

After extraction, our cannabis oil undergoes winterization. This freezing process using ethanol to filter the cannabinoids and terpenes from unwanted plant matter such as waxes, fats, lipids, and chlorophyll. This process creates a purer and clearer oil.

Step 3

Decarboxylation

THC-A is a non-psychoactive compound in cannabis which requires heat and time to convert it to the psychoactive form of Δ9 THC – this process is referred to as decarboxylation. At Organa Labs we use the slow and low method to decarboxylate our oil to ensure volatile terpenes remain intact and your oil reaches its full psychoactive potential.

Step 3

Proprietary Carbon Filtration

The final step of our refinement process involves a proprietary carbon filtration process to create the purity and clarity unique to our oil products. This process removes unwanted chlorophylls, anthocyanins, water soluble vacuolar pigments, undesirable flavors, and even heavy metals that may reside from soil used in the growing process.

Step 6

QA Testing

Before any of our products hit the shelves, our Quality Assurance Team inspects all aspects of our oil to ensure they meet our standards. Our in-house analytical lab monitors and controls potency and cannabinoid levels throughout the extraction process for a superior level of quality assurance in our finished product.
